Supporting Our Local Communities
The Multifamily Coalition for Affordable Housing and its board members understand that safe and affordable housing goes beyond just walls and windows. It’s about families, neighbors, local businesses, schools, and everything that contributes towards creating a strong, vibrant community. It’s important that the properties and families we support, and the thousands of others like them across the nation, have the resources to strengthen and thrive within their communities.
Each year, MCFAH provides funding through other non-profit organizations that are working daily to provide housing to those in need. Since 2011, MCFAH has contributed over $500,000 to support the hard work and vital services that the following organizations provide. CHATT Foundation

40 years ago, we started as the Chattanooga Community Kitchen, and fed the hungry each year by the hundreds of thousands. Over that time, we also added other services for the homeless, like shelter and clothing and counseling. Today, we are no longer just a Kitchen. We are a Foundation for hope. We are the CHATT Foundation.
Our mission is to meet the most basic needs of hungry, homeless and vulnerable people in our community while offering a clear path to self-sufficiency.

Haven House

Haven House provides emergency housing and support services for one-parent and two-parent families with children. The shelter helps families who are homeless prepare for permanent housing by developing and promoting self-sufficiency, stability, and financial responsibility.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace

At SHP, we fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs. When it was brought to our attention that the need for beds went far beyond our own neighborhoods, we stepped up and took initiative.…We’re a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. Our organization has grown steadily over time, and we’re working on opening more chapters in different states to serve more people.

Welcome Home of Chattanooga

Our primary mission is to provide shelter and care for men and women who are homeless and have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Veterans who are homeless are a priority. We thoroughly evaluate all referrals, taking a number of factors into consideration including the individual’s diagnosis, current health status, and suitability for the care we provide.

Thank you for your kindness to Welcome Home. We are incredibly grateful for your very generous gift in the amount of $2,500. MCFAH has been a big part of our mission over the years to create a community of care for those who are facing a serious illness or death and need safe shelter.
We are in the middle of Phase Two of building our community at Quiet Creek. Phase One included purchasing the almost five acres of property and renovating the first building into a four-bedroom hospice home. Phase Two involves renovation of the other two buildings on the property, each into three-bedroom homes and completing the infrastructure. We have run into delays with this stage and have learned that infrastructure is not very attractive and doesn't always go as planned! We continue to persevere though with our vision of creating a whole community of care. We did open the second home June 2022 for Cancer Respite, providing shelter for individuals who need it in order to get life-saving treatment so that they don't end up in hospice care prematurely. The third home will be open this summer. Phase Three is more exciting, with new construction of a four-bedroom home and six cottages, landscaping and an outdoor chapel. Three of the cottages have generously been donated by a local family foundation.
You are part of this and we are very grateful. You have believed in our mission for eight years, providing support that has had a meaningful impact for all of us at Welcome Home. Thank you,

Lima Central Catholic Educational Foundation

The Mission of the Lima Central Catholic Educational Foundation is to provide funds to help keep tuition costs down and provide tuition assistance for students who might otherwise be unable to attend LCC. The School Administration and the LCC Foundation Trustees are committed to making an LCC education affordable to as many families as possible.
